Role Overview
The Nursery Manager is responsible for the efficient production and timely delivery of over 1.2 million plants annually. This role involves managing all aspects of the nursery, from strategic sales and business development to team leadership and financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant Production: Ensure timely and cost-effective supply of plants for projects.
- Strategic Leadership: Represent ecoDynamics in the market and support initiatives like Greening the West.
- Team Leadership: Attract, develop, and retain nursery talent.
- Financial Management: Oversee the nursery budget to achieve sales targets.
- Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Reporting & Safety Performance: Provide accurate monthly reports and uphold safety standards.
- Culture Promotion: Exemplify and advocate for ecoDynamics’ Vision and Values.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Horticulture) or equivalent industry experience.
- First Aid (Level II).Valid Manual Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift Ticket.
- Demonstrated expertise in plant production.
- Proven ability in team management and development.
- Proficient in building and maintaining professional networks.
- Ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Experience in interpreting and implementing landscape plans.
- Working knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
