About the Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Payroll Officer is a key member of the Corporate Services team, responsible for providing end-to-end payroll and accounts support to the ecoDynamics Group. This role is crucial in managing payroll for all employees and taking charge of accounts payable, while also supporting significant projects such as the ERP implementation (Pronto Program 2023–2024).
This full-time contract position is for 12 months with potential flexibility for remote work (1-2 days per week) after the successful candidate has settled into the role. Competitive remuneration of $85k – $90k + superannuation is offered for the right candidate. An immediate start is preferred.
Key responsibilities
Payroll management
- End-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls for all employees (4 entities).
- Onboarding/offboarding employees and managing payroll data.
- Ensuring compliance with Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and individual contracts.
- Managing STP2 reporting to ATO, superannuation payments, payroll tax computations, and distribution of payslips.
- Managing payroll-related year-end reporting functions.
ERP/Pronto program implementation
- Collaborate on the implementation of Pronto payroll and related modules.
- Provide payroll data to consultants and undertake training on Pronto Timesheets and Payroll.
- Assist in developing the new timesheet process and handle software queries from employees.
General accounts support
- Submit monthly and quarterly calculations to external bodies such as Incolink and Leave Plus.
- Handle timesheet processing and maintain data accuracy.
- Assist with other ad hoc office-based tasks as needed.

Qualifications
- Certificate IV or higher in Payroll, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience and skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing multi-Award/Enterprise Agreement payrolls.
- 2–3 years’ corporate administration experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR3 Payroll.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to handle change and work effectively in a team.
- Experience within the civil construction industry and familiarity with interpreting Modern Awards and multiple Enterprise Agreements are advantageous.
Training Provided
On-the-job training will be provided for the Pronto Payroll system and timesheet processes.
