ecoDynamics holds inaugural B Corp Summit: a commitment to purpose and impact

ecoDynamics marked a significant milestone in its sustainability journey by hosting its first-ever eco B Corp Summit as part of B Corp Month 2025.
Held at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre in Melbourne, this event brought together company leaders, employees, and industry experts to deepen their understanding of B Corp Certification and explore ways to embed these values across the business.
A day of learning, collaboration, and action
The eco B Corp Summit kicked off with attendees receiving a B Corp goody bag filled with fellow B Corp company products. A warm welcome from Nick Somes, set the stage for a day dedicated to learning, community, and being a purpose-driven business. Attendees participated in interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions designed to strengthen ecoDynamics’ role as a B Corp Certified company.
Key Summit highlights included:
🎤 B Corp insights with B Corp Consultant Kirsty Dare – A keynote presentation and Q&A session on what it truly means to be a B Corp and the long-term impact of certification.
🧩 B Corp Bingo – An engaging icebreaker led by Lisa Cole, reinforcing team in a fun and interactive way.
🌍 Building our B Corp world – A collaborative session led by the BIA team Nick Somes, Ali Kader, Vasilios Paparounis, and Lisa Cole, where we brought ecoDynamics’ EPIIICC values in alignment with the five B Corp pillars: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.
💡 Embedding B Corp principles – Attendees broke into groups to discuss and write on their “leaf cards” how they could integrate our company values with B Corp principles into their roles and identifying opportunities for impact.
📌 Our B Corp tree – As a symbolic exercise, participants wrote down actionable sustainability goals (big or small) on “fruit” cards and attached them to the eco B Corp tree, representing the company’s collective vision for the future.
Bringing B Corp to life
Throughout our B Corp Summit, the focus remained on practical applications of B Corp principles and values. Employees discussed:
✔️ How B Corp values impact their daily work.
✔️ Ways to champion sustainability and social impact within their teams.
✔️ Opportunities to enhance collaboration and continuous improvement across the company.
The summit also introduced ecoDynamics’ B Corp Manager’s Guide, a resource designed to help leaders incorporate B Corp principles into decision-making and team culture.
Looking ahead: a sustainable future
In his closing remarks, Nick Somes reflected on ecoDynamics’ journey to B Corp Certification and the road ahead.
“This summit is just the beginning. Being a B Corp is about ongoing commitment – finding new ways to create impact, support our communities, and make sustainable business improvements every day,” he said.
As part of B Corp Month, ecoDynamics will continue to drive engagement through a 30-day B Corp calendar, internal initiatives, and industry discussions. With a shared commitment to sustainability, ethical business, and purpose-driven growth, the eco B Corp Summit set a strong foundation for ongoing impact and innovation at ecoDynamics.
