At ecoDynamics, we’re committed to making changes to be more eco-friendly. We’re ditching our old single-use plastic gloves and switching to biodegradable gloves from Stay Safe. They’re our preferred and a leading provider of personal protective clothing and equipment to a wide range of industries. They focus on providing sustainable products such as biodegradable gloves that align with our vision of creating Greener futures. They’ve been in the business of sustainable protective gear for over 20 years, so we’re pretty excited to partner with them.
Andrew Roberts our Group Safety, Environment and Quality Manager says, “Annually, we purchase approximately 10,000+ pairs of non-degradable gloves that go to landfill and never break down. With single use plastics being the major contributor to plastic waste, we’ve proud to remove all plastic gloves across our group to better the environment.”
So, we’re getting rid of all plastic gloves and going green.
Stay Safe’s biodegradable gloves break down in landfills within a few months to a few years, thanks to bacteria, fungi, and algae. Their unique structure keeps the strength and flexibility of a nitrile glove while only allowing the biodegradation process to begin once under landfill conditions. Plus, they’re just as strong and flexible as regular nitrile gloves.
Starting on 1 July, 2022, we won’t be using any single-use non-biodegradable nitrile gloves. We’re all about sustainable practices and making the world a better place. It’s just another way we’re continuing our safe and sustainable practices.
