As a proud B Corp Certified company, we’re part of a global community of companies that balance purpose and profit, using our business as a force for good.
Why did we want to certify as a B Corp?
At ecoDynamics, we’ve always beewen a forward-thinking bunch – tuned into the environment and passionate about creating great outcomes for our team. B Corp certification was a chance to show ourselves, our customers, and the whole industry that we’re serious about sustainability, fairness, and being transparent with how we perform.
What makes us a B Corp and how are we doing business differently?
87 points across a few hundred questions – boom, we’re a B Corp! But honestly, it’s who we are at ecoDynamics that got us here. Most of our points came from things we’ve been doing for years, like recycling timber waste into mulch and growing endangered plants. We’re always shaking things up, and now we’re laser-focused on tracking our impact and setting even bigger goals.
What did we learn or what challenges did we overcome when using the BIA?
It all came down to data – good, solid data. The B Impact Assessment (BIA) made us dive deep into our systems to back up what we do with real numbers. It took some time to gather all the info, but it was worth it to have everything lined up and ready to go.
Have we set any goals or areas for improvement for the future?
Absolutely! We’re cooking up some new goals focused on creating even more opportunities for our team, growing more endangered plants, and slashing our energy use and carbon footprint. Stay tuned!

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
These 17 goals come together to form a collective blueprint for peace and prosperity for both people and the planet. After reviewing our operations, we’ve identified seven goals that align closely with our work. For more details, visit the official SDG website.
Here’s how our B Corp and Grassroots priorities align with these Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
Governance
Unsustainable consumption and production play a significant role in the triple planetary crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.
To address these challenges, we focus on prioritising local materials and minimising waste. Our aim is to foster sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, creating well-paying jobs and career opportunities for people.
People
We prioritise gender equality by increasing opportunities for women in our landscape construction business and offering a flexible work environment that supports students and families. We also believe in enhancing overall wellbeing, which is why we provide counselling services and training programs focused on healthy living to improve quality of life for all.
Environment
We’re committed to taking urgent action against climate change and its impacts by supporting urban greening.
To combat land degradation and biodiversity loss, we focus on protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems. Our nursery grows threatened plant species, which we actively plant to help reduce their risk of extinction.
Community
Sustainable cities and communities should be inclusive, safe, resilient, and environmentally friendly.
We strive to enhance urban sustainability through tree planting initiatives. By planting trees, we mitigate the harmful effects of urban heat islands and create accessible green spaces for everyone to enjoy.
