With over 20 years of experience across the private sector and local government, Daniel Smith, Sales Manager for ecoDynamics Mulch and Services, brings a powerful blend of leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial know-how to the team. His background in turf, parks, and large-scale community infrastructure has shaped his passion for delivering practical solutions with a lasting impact — both for customers and the communities they serve.

Dan is known for his strategic thinking and hands-on approach to solving problems. Whether it’s a complex erosion control job or a high-visibility revegetation project, he brings focus to both the big picture and the operational detail.

“I’m passionate about delivering key outcomes while improving the experience for people on the ground,” Dan says. “Every site has its challenges — and that’s where I thrive.”

Dan’s journey started with a turf management apprenticeship at just 16. He’s since worked across golf courses, councils, universities, and major commercial contracts — from managing parks and sports fields at Wyndham and Hume, to delivering landscape maintenance at Melbourne Airport and La Trobe University. He also served as General Manager at Bacchus Marsh Golf Club, where he honed his leadership, operations, and resilience skills — all of which now fuel his ability to lead with integrity and purpose.

“It’s not just about selling a product,” Dan says. “It’s about creating meaningful, sustainable solutions that actually help our customers — and leave a positive legacy.”

In his current role at ecoDynamics, Dan leads the charge across a broad range of specialist services, including:

  • Mulch blowing
  • Hydroseeding and hydromulching
  • Erosion control solutions
  • Native/shrub custom blends and vegetation establishment.

He works closely with civil contractors, councils, developers and project managers to deliver high-performance outcomes with efficiency and care.
