ecoDynamics CEO Nick Somes Celebrates B Corp Month

At ecoDynamics, becoming B Corp certified wasn’t just a goal – it was a natural extension of who we are and what we’ve always stood for.

At ecoDynamics, we’re excited to celebrate B Corp Month – a global event theoughout March that shines a light on businesses using their platform to drive positive change. As a Certified B Corp and proud member of Gen B (this year’s B Corp Month theme), we’re part of a global community proving that profit and purpose can go hand-in-hand.

Why we chose to become B Corp Certified

Becoming B Corp certified wasn’t just a goal – it was a natural extension of who we are and what we’ve always stood for. We’ve been committed to creating sustainable landscapes that leave a lasting impact, but becoming a B Corp allows us to formalise and strengthen that commitment. B Corp Certification is more than just a badge; it’s a promise that we meet the high standards of social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and ethical business practices every single day.

We believe in doing business differently. For us, it’s not just about profit – it’s about people, planet, and long-term impact. We’re not just creating landscapes; we’re shaping greener communities, restoring natural ecosystems, and building a more sustainable future for all. The B Corp framework is a tangible way to hold ourselves accountable to those values, ensuring that every decision we make is aligned with our vision for a greener, better world.

As leaders in the sustainable landscaping and infrastructure sector, we know we have a responsibility to push the industry forward. B Corp Certification isn’t just recognition – it’s about setting a new benchmark for how businesses in our sector can operate.

We’re proving that profitability and purpose can go together, and we hope this inspires others to partner with us and follow our journey.

Grassroots Impact Program: a tangible step towards sustainability

Our Grassroots Impact Program has been at the heart of our sustainability efforts since 2018. Initiatives such as growing native plants, recycling timber into mulch, and partnering with organisations like Polyglot Theatre, Hope Street Youth and Family Services, and Greening the West have allowed us to make a real impact on projects, people, and the planet. These ongoing positive impacts were recognised and assisted us in our B Corp Certification. Now, as part of the B Corp community, we’re focused on improving and expanding our positive impacts.

Together, we’re not just doing business – we’re driving meaningful change. And with the power of the B Corp community behind us, we’re setting the stage for a more sustainable and impactful future.
