A social enterprise is defined as an organisation led by an economic, social, cultural, or environmental mission consistent with a public or community benefit.

Created in 2017, the Map for Impact is a tool created by Swinburne University to identify and map Victoria’s social enterprises, and explore their social and economic characteristics.

Since its inception, the Map has become an integral part of the Victorian State Government’s Social Enterprise Strategy, assisting government to understand the role of social enterprises across Victoria, considering their size, characteristics and baseline impacts.

We are very proud to announce that our Nursery has been formally recognised by Map for Impact as one of over 3,500 social enterprises operating in the State.

Established in 2018, the Ecodynamics Nursery operates as a social enterprise, donating 50% of profits to community greening initiatives to offset the impacts of climate change. Through our partnership with Greening the West, we are donating 10,000 native trees for installation at Sunshine Energy Park this year, helping improve the environment for the local community .

The addition of Ecodynamics Nursery to the Map for Impact is an important milestone in the journey of our social enterprise, providing recognition of the environmental impact we’re making in Melbourne’s western suburbs thanks to the support of our valued clients.
