Berry to Bomaderry Landscaping Project
As part of the Berry to Bomaderry highway upgrade, ecoDynamics NSW Landscaping restored and stabilised disturbed land with over 162,000 native plants, hydromulch, and erosion control measures. These efforts enhance biodiversity, protect waterways, and create a greener, more resilient corridor for the community.
About the Berry to Bomaderry landscaping project
Restoring and greening infrastructure for long-term environmental resilience.
Since 2012, the Princes Highway upgrade from Gerringong to Bomaderry has transformed over 30 kilometres of vital transport infrastructure along the NSW South Coast. The final stage of this upgrade—the Berry to Bomaderry section—saw the construction of six new bridges over waterways, two flood-control bridges, three road overpasses, and three flood-prevention culverts.
Aimed at improving safety, increasing road capacity, and streamlining travel times, this project significantly enhanced connectivity and reliability for road users in the region.
As part of this major infrastructure investment, Transport for NSW engaged ecoDynamics NSW Landscaping to deliver large-scale commercial landscaping and a comprehensive maintenance program to support the environmental restoration of disturbed land.

Scope of work
ecoDynamics played a crucial role in revegetating and stabilising the corridor with:
- 162,881 native plants installed to re-establish biodiversity and ground cover
- 490,285 m² of hydromulch and hydroseed applied to protect soils and support revegetation
- 49,532 m² of organic fibre mat installed for erosion control
- Topsoiling and surface preparation using imported material across general areas and open drains
- 12-month maintenance program, including watering and weed management, to ensure strong plant establishment and long-term success
Contributing to greener futures
The Berry to Bomaderry landscaping works are more than just a finishing touch—they represent a long-term investment in environmental resilience and sustainability. By restoring native vegetation and implementing erosion control measures, this project helps reduce sediment runoff into waterways, supports local wildlife habitat, and creates a greener, more visually appealing corridor for the community.
Through our revegetation efforts, ecoDynamics is proud to support Transport for NSW in building infrastructure that not only serves people, but also cares for country—contributing to greener futures, one project at a time.
