Spring Farm Parkway Landscaping Project

About Spring Farm Parkway landscaping project

Transport NSW, in collaboration with Georgiou, oversaw the construction of a new four-lane-1km-divided road that will connect Menangle Road to the Menangle Park Urban Release Area. This comprehensive project features an interchange with on and off ramps, a shared-use path, and four newly signalised intersections. Georgiou, contracted by Transport for NSW, engaged ecoDynamics to manage the landscaping for the Spring Farm Parkway.

Landscaping works

Our NSW Landscaping team was entrusted with ensuring the functionality of the roadway while maintaining its environmental sustainability within the surrounding landscape. We managed water flow and prevented erosion by preparing slopes and drains, and stabilising soil with hydromulch and diverse plant mixes.

The NSW team planted a variety of trees, securing them with stakes and mulch to maintain soil health. To reduce erosion and support new growth, we used jute mesh and mats to shield the bare soil from natural elements such as rain and wind that can wash topsoil away. Additionally, we installed turf to further stabilise the ground.

We’re also enriching the centre medians and islands with vegetation, enhancing aesthetics, creating habitats, and supporting environmental sustainability.

Maintenance plan

On completion of the landscaping works, we will implement a comprehensive maintenance plan. This plan includes weed control through spraying, regular watering, ensuring plant durability, and replanting if necessary.
