What made this project unique was the complexity of revegetating a highly compacted levee bank with a heavy clay base—without compromising the structural purpose of the levee. We provided innovative, cost-effective methods to promote plant growth in this difficult environment, offering tailored solutions that others in the industry could not.
Our experience allowed us to offer valuable alternatives, including the use of spray-on topsoil and specialised batter stabilisation products, helping the client overcome significant site limitations and tight budget constraints.

Project insights
The client needed a low-impact, cost-effective way to revegetate a newly established levee bank. Their budget was limited, so we proposed the use of spray-on topsoil, saving them approximately $20–30K. We also identified a more affordable approach for batter stabilisation, delivering an additional $5–10K in savings. Working closely with the client, we selected a high-performing local seed mix to ensure long-term ecological success.
This project was a strong example of how innovation, cost-conscious solutions, and collaborative planning can deliver real, lasting outcomes.
