About the Capitol Grand blowing project
Overlooking Melbourne’s iconic Yarra River, Capitol Grand is a striking architectural landmark soaring 180m into the skyline. Designed by internationally acclaimed architects Bates Smart, in collaboration with LK Property Group, the development offers world-class amenities—including an elevated rooftop oasis designed by renowned landscape architect Jack Merlo. This lush retreat features private cabanas, entertainment zones, and a secluded lounge area with breathtaking views.
To help bring this rooftop garden to life, ecoDynamics Services was engaged to install growing media using our advanced material blower technology—providing a safe, efficient, and non-intrusive solution for high-rise construction environments.

Innovative approach to vertical landscaping
Working in close collaboration with Multiplex, our team coordinated the complex lift of a compact crawler crane to the rooftop using the site’s tower crane. This smaller crane provided crucial support for our blowing equipment and helped secure the delivery pipework, ensuring no damage to the building’s exterior throughout the process.
In total, 235 cubic metres of specialised soil and mulch were expertly blown into place—forming the living foundation for a thriving rooftop landscape designed to flourish for years to come.
