Goodwood-Springbank-Daws Intersection Landscaping Upgrade

ecoDynamics SA Landscaping proudly contributed to the Goodwood Intersection Upgrade, embedding Kaurna cultural values into the landscape through indigenous planting, stone placement, and custom construction works. Delivered in collaboration with the Kaurna Yerta Aboriginal Corporation, Intract Australia, and DIT, the project honours Aboriginal Veterans and creates a meaningful, enduring public space.

About the Goodwood Intersection Upgrade landscaping project

Celebrating culture and service through landscaping

Our ecoDynamics SA Landscaping team worked carefully to embed Kaurna cultural values into the Goodwood Intersection Upgrade landscape design. We planted native Australian species with traditional cultural significance, arranged in the shape of the Kaurna shield. We also worked closely with Kaurna representatives to select and place rocks of cultural importance at the site, enhancing the artwork’s meaning and connection to Country.

Federal Member for Boothby Louise Miller-Frost said:

“Motorists in more than 60 thousand vehicles a day travelling past the monument will be reminded of the Kaurna people’s service to Australia through many generations.”
We thank the South Australian Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) for the opportunity to participate in this important project.

Delivered in partnership with Intract Australia Indigenous Contractors, the City of Mitcham, and the Kaurna Yerta Aboriginal Corporation, this project is a powerful example of cultural collaboration and respectful landscape design.
